You are looking at a near complete set of 2005-06 Upper Deck The Cup Honorable Numbers insert set. From the greatest modern hockey set ever produced comes this incredible near set that has been tucked away since approximately 2006. At the time Cup was released, I watched this collection begin assembly. The original collector wanted it all. Then filling holes in the makeable sets began. Putting together 1/1 sets was out of the question, but a bunch of cards produced in quantities less than 5 were added. The low numbered inserts that were pulled from packs were kept. The proportion of the sets put together was unprecedented. A couple of other collectors at the time were putting together sets, but everyone I heard from at the time told the owner of this collection he was crazy. You can see from the quality of the sharpie autographs and the cards, these have not seen the light of day but a couple of times in the last 10 years. The time has come to begin making these available. This particular lot includes the Honorable Numbers near complete set. One of the problems with Cup from the first year is that no one seems to have a complete, accurate checklist. When comparing with online databases including Beckett, 76 different out of a possible 82 different cards are included in this lot.

The Mike Modano/9 does not show on some of the checklists, however, the Modano card is included in this lot. The missing cards are Andrew Raycroft (1/1), Joffrey Lupul (/15), Marian Gaborik (/10), Roberto Luongo (1/1), Tuomo Ruutu (/15), and Vincent LeCavalier (/4). Each one of these cards is individually numbered to the player's jersey number.

There is a David Aebischer (1/1), Dion Phaneuf (1/3), Rob Blake (jersey #4/4), Jean Beliveau (2/4), Denis Potvin (2/5), Simon Gagne (jersey #12/12), Sidney Crosby (69/87), and Wayne Gretzky (6/9). Incredibly, t he Ovie is his jersey number #8/8.

As a courtesy, please do not send inquiries about asking to break up this set for one card. Depending on the interest in this set, we may break it up and sell the cards individually, however, breaking up the set will not be considered immediately. Further, please do not send inquiries asking if every single card or if your favorite player is 50/50 centering, four perfect corners front and back, no surface flaws, etc. I will send individual scans of the better cards, however, presume my answer to the question as to condition is no.
