A simply fantastic aggregation of Leaf Gum Company's popular 1948 Boxing series marketed through its "Knock-Out" Bubble Gum product line. Included are all 49 cards (no Graziano) in this complete, skip-numbered set. The breakdown: 7 cards are Mint, 10 are NM-MT+, 22 are NM-MT, 5 are NM+, 2 are NM, and 3 are EX-MT. Overall, 93.9% of the set is Near Mint or better and 79.6% is NM-MT or better including many of the key cards. Fifteen of the cards in the set, including #64 Sugar Ray Robinson, are the white back varieties, which are more difficult to find in top condition. Strict grading standards have been applied throughout by SGC; five or six cards could have easily been graded higher. The culmination of 25 years of collecting! A popular set with collectors due to its design, distribution, and liberal inclusion of all of the big names in boxing from the end of the 19th and first half of the 20th centuries.
